ABOUT EVAN WATERS
Evan Waters is growth & marketing leader who has held senior marketing leadership roles at a number of well-known, consumer brands. Recently, he was the SVP Marketing for Blinkist (acquired by Go1), Head of Marketing for OLX in Romania, Portugal, and Bulgaria, and Senior Director of Growth for Prosus.
Currently, Evan works with brands to accelerate growth, integrate data into decision-making, and orient strategy to drive deep and profitable consumer acquisition. This involves first deeply understanding the customer and market through a combination of qualitative and quantitative market research.
Evan spent five years with Prosus (formerly Naspers) where his portfolio support included work for Flipkart, Souq, Allegro, OLX, Udemy, eMag, Delivery Hero, iFood, Codecademy, Brainly, MultiChoice, Super Sport, DStv, LetGo, JoyMode, Properati, fix.ly, Avenida, Konga, and Fashion Days.
In addition, Evan has served as a growth consultant or advisor to Jerry Insurance, Locket, Health Sherpa, Winnie, Zencare, Serenis Health, Cater Cow, FuneralFide, Chimo, and PayLode.
Prior to joining Prosus, he built the paid consumer acquisition program at Trulia (acquired $3.5B by Zillow), ignited growth as the first marketing hire for startup Tripping.com ($100M+ valuation), and worked with a variety of established and growing companies on improving their digital presence through data-driven, user-centric, strategic growth initiatives.
His work has been featured on Google AdWords, Search Engine Journal, WebCertain, SMX East, The Next Web, Savage Marketing, Mobile Growth Summit, VRMA, and Tealium and has contributed to Google and AdRoll’s customer advisory boards. Waters is a graduate of Boston College and The London School of Economics General Course.
